103.2 Open Gate FM is a prominent community-based commercial radio station broadcasting from Mbale, Eastern Uganda, that is designed to inform, entertain, and empower listeners of all ages, blending music, news, community affairs, agricultural and health education, and civic discussions. It provides a mix of contemporary Afrobeats, gospel, and “golden era” hits from the past 30 years. The station’s news program has regular updates in English, Luganda, and Lumasaba, covering local and national issues. Launched modestly in March 2001, it has grown into one of the leading FM stations in the region with a coverage radius of over 150 km, reaching nearly all 20 districts of Eastern Uganda and even parts of Western Kenya. Open Gate FM serves as a vital platform for the Bamasaba people, often broadcasting content related to local traditions and development.
