CBS Radio Buganda (also known as CBS FM Buganda) is a major Luganda-language radio station broadcasting from Kampala, Uganda, that offers listeners an exciting mix of the latest hits, along with classic favorites that are sure to get them moving. It began broadcasting on 22 June 1996 and transmits on 88.8 FM and 89.2 FM from Bulange in Mengo, serving Kampala and much of Central Uganda. The station serves as the voice of the Kabaka (King of Buganda) and focuses heavily on promoting Buganda culture, heritage, and social development. CBS focuses on news, information, local music, cultural programming, and “edutainment” that reflects the traditions and interests of its audience, primarily in Luganda with occasional English bulletins. It features a talented team of DJs who bring their passion for music to the airwaves every day.
