Radio Chinese FM 90.6 (also known as New Zealand Chinese Radio) is a Chinese-language radio station based in Auckland, New Zealand, that broadcasts primarily in Mandarin Chinese and provides news, music, and community programs for Chinese residents and listeners in the Auckland region. It is recognized as one of the first 24-hour Mandarin-language stereo broadcast channels in the region. The station broadcasts a variety of programs designed mainly for the Chinese community, including news and current affairs, talk shows and community discussions, Chinese pop and traditional music, cultural and lifestyle programs, documentaries, and entertainment shows. It aims to provide high-quality, professional broadcasting that mirrors the format of major international stations rather than smaller community radio models. Some of the station’s programs are also relayed from China Radio International, making it the only station in New Zealand authorized to broadcast those programs.
