Egypt Quran Radio (officially known as Al-Qur’an Al-Karim Radio, إذاعة القرآن الكريم من القاهرة) is a historic and highly revered broadcasting radio station based in the capital city of Cairo, Egypt, that is recognized as the world’s oldest specialized Quran radio network. The station is dedicated entirely to broadcasting the Holy Qur’an and Islamic religious content, making it a key spiritual voice in Egyptian and wider Arab media culture. It is dedicated to preserving the Islamic heritage by broadcasting continuous, high-quality recitations of the Holy Quran 24/7. The station’s mission was to preserve and broadcast the correct recitation of the Qur’an using verified readings from some of Egypt’s most respected Qaris (reciters). It also broadcasts Tafsir (Qur’anic interpretation), Hadith lessons, and Islamic educational programs.
