Angel Radio is a United Kingdom (UK)-based community internet radio station that specializes in nostalgic programming for older listeners. It provides nostalgic entertainment, relevant information, and mental & physical stimulation for older people and anybody who enjoys the music of the 1920s through the 1960s. The station began life in 1993 as an unlicensed pirate broadcaster and launched legally in February 1999; since 2002, it has broadcast full‑time as one of the first community stations licensed by Ofcom. It is widely recognized as the longest-running community licensee in the UK, having evolved from a “pirate” station in the 1990s into a multi-award-winning service.
